Trusted Business Leadership Theme to Drive Munster’s Premier Business & Networking Event. Business leaders from across Ireland will gather in Kinsale this October as Minister Jack Chambers TD and leading economist Jim Power headline the Kinsale Budget Breakfast Briefing 2027, one of Cork’s premier business leadership and networking events. Taking place on Friday, 9 October 2026 at the Kinsale Hotel & Spa, this year’s conference will focus on the theme “Trusted Business Leadership”, bringing together leaders from business, Government, the accountancy profession and the wider community to examine Budget 2027, Ireland’s economic outlook and the opportunities and challenges facing Irish enterprise.

Founded and chaired by Cormac Fitzgerald FCPA FCA, Managing Director of Fitzgerald & Partners Chartered Accountants, the Budget Breakfast Briefing has developed into a respected annual forum where business, economics, SMEs, accountancy, and public policy come together to encourage informed debate, practical insight, and meaningful professional connections. Presented in collaboration with Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Chartered Accountants Ireland Cork Society, the conference is held in support of Kinsale & District Lions Club, whose commitment to community service was recently recognised through the prestigious Lions Clubs International Club Excellence Award. All local groups and organisations are already booked in for this year’s event and always a popular community and business event. There are now limited spaces remaining.

Distinguished National Speakers

This year’s conference will feature an outstanding line-up of speakers, including:

  • Jack Chambers, who will outline the Government’s fiscal priorities and the policy framework underpinning Budget 2027.
  • Jim Power, one of Ireland’s leading economists, who will provide his independent assessment of Ireland’s economic outlook and the key issues shaping business confidence and competitiveness.
  • Crona Clohisey, Chartered Accountants Ireland who will offer the trusted perspective of the accountancy profession on taxation, governance, SMEs, leadership, and the evolving business environment.
  • Pat Lordan , former head of the Garda Economic Crime Bureau on cybersecurity.

Executive Fireside Chat – Trusted Business Leadership

A major new feature of this year’s conference is the introduction of the Executive Fireside Chat – Trusted Business Leadership.

Moderated by Ann-Marie O Sullivan MC , the discussion will bring together Minister Jack Chambers TD, Jim Power, Crona Clohisey, Cormac Fitzgerald FCPA FCA and for an engaging and interactive conversation exploring the strategic issues shaping Ireland’s future.

Rather than a series of keynote presentations, the Fireside Chat has been designed as a leadership forum where Government, economics, corporate governance, and the accountancy profession come together to discuss the decisions, responsibilities and values that underpin trusted leadership and an analysis of budget 2027 combined with an economic outlook 2027.  Delegates can expect practical insight, informed analysis and thought-provoking discussion on Budget 2027, economic competitiveness, responsible leadership, corporate governance, SME, and the future direction of Irish business. The conference will close with a networking element.

Recognised for its distinguished speakers, professional organisation and outstanding networking opportunities, the Kinsale Budget Breakfast Briefing attracts business owners, entrepreneurs, SMEs, company directors, chartered accountants, finance professionals, policymakers, and senior executives from across Cork, Munster and beyond.

Whether attending individually, entertaining clients at a corporate table or participating as an event sponsor, delegates can expect an exceptional morning of leadership, learning and premium business networking with many of the region’s leading organisations and decision-makers. The event is filling fast and expected to sell out shortly. Only limited availability.
