A Message of Thanks and Festive Greetings

We at Kinsale & District Lions Club are delighted to announce the relaunch of our website, www.kinsalelionsonline.com. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our members, both long-standing and new, for their unwavering support. The positive response to our community-based initiatives—supporting childhood cancer, youth, and local clubs and organizations—has been truly inspiring. Together, we are spreading kindness and making a real difference.

As we reflect on the achievements of 2024, we extend our gratitude to everyone who collaborated with us. We wish all Lions and their families a happy and peaceful Christmas, and every success in 2025.

December Highlights

This December, our club will be presenting Melvin Jones Awards to recognize outstanding contributions and dedicated service. We are also actively running several seasonal initiatives, including:

• The Christmas Toy Appeal
• Food Appeal
• Tree of Remembrance
• Christmas Day Swim

We’re thrilled to welcome new members who will help us continue the great work of supporting our community. Looking ahead to 2025, we have some exciting and innovative events planned to strengthen our mission of serving those in need.

Support Local Businesses

We encourage everyone to shop local and support Kinsale businesses this holiday season. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) make up 99.8% of all businesses in our area and employ two-thirds of the workforce. Let’s come together to champion our local economy.

How You Can Help ?  Drop off point
We ask you to please drop off new toys at accounting firm Fitzgerald & Partners Chartered Accountants , located in Kinsale town centre who once again are kindly supporting this project. Or scan to donate using the code on the flyer. The team and members of Kinsale Lions Club appreciate the huge support from the public for their appeals which are used to support local charities. Closing date for appeal is Friday December 13th please.

Where Do the Toys Go ?
With the invaluable support of the Gardaí, the Defense forces, Cork City Fire service, Civil defense, Coastguard, Lions volunteers and the HSE Ambulance service, your donations will be safely transported in special convoy to Cork University Hospital & CUH Charity and local charities, focusing on bringing joy to children facing challenges. Thanks for the huge support for this initiative last year and the appeal is growing year on year which is heartening. # kindness matters. Kinsale Lions Club is at the heart of the local community and collaborates with all sectors of the community supporting worthy causes and charities privately.
