Marie Gleeson – A Story of Strength and Leadership
Former Irish Navy officer and renowned speaker Marie Gleeson will share her deeply personal journey of resilience after loss. Following the tragic loss of her son in 2012, Marie led her crew aboard the LE Aoife with courage and determination, redefining what it means to lead through adversity.
“Life taught me that we don’t have control over everything—but we do control our response,” Marie reflects. Her story is one of hope, leadership, and the power of perseverance.
Professor Keelin O’Donoghue – Leading the Fight for Better Pregnancy Loss Care
As a leading expert in maternal and fetal medicine, Professor Keelin O’Donoghue has dedicated her career to supporting families affected by pregnancy loss. Through her work at the Pregnancy Loss Research Group (PLRG), she is transforming care for grieving families and advancing vital research—work that is often underfunded but desperately needed.
“This research brings real change for families who face unimaginable grief. Every euro raised helps improve care, provide support, and create hope,” says Professor O’Donoghue.
